986 Boxster
The transformation from stock to racecar of my '98 Boxster
Chassis Swap
Due to an unfortunate turn of events, my original white '98 chassis was totaled. Most of the damage was to the body, and 99% of the parts were still viable, so I decided to buy a clean chassis and swap all the components from the white car into it. Over the course of 5 days, I completed this challenge with my best friend. Started up on the first crank and drove with no issues!
Engine Rebuild
In another unfortunate turn of events (call me Lemony Snicket), the original motor jumped timing and all 6 exhaust valves on bank 1 crashed into the pistons and were bent. I pulled the motor, stripped it to a long block, rebuilt the heads, replaced all timing components, and reassembled.
Mods
Over the past 4 years of owning these two chassis, I've put countless hours into maintenance and much time into research and development for how I can improve the driving experience through off-the-shelf parts or desiging my own components: everything from a simple throtte pedal to a lightweight flywheel to a complete suspension overhaul.
