Creative Capers
Eclectic projects, interests, and hobbies beyond cars and engineering — plus a few shenanigans thrown in!
The Giraffe
For Christmas 2024, I thought it would be funny to wrap the Lego set I got my girlfriend as a giraffe. The project quickly grew in scope: the initial idea was about 3 feet tall and the final product was exactly 8 feet tall. Designed with a PVC pipe skeleton, a chicken wire superstructure saran-wrapped for rigidity, then a final wrap in holiday paper.
Minecraft
I've been playing Minecraft for over 10 years; it’s been one of my main creative outlets throughout my life. More than just a game to me, I’ve learned to solve complex logic problems, design beautiful architecture, and implement programming and computer engineering skills. Below are some of my best redstone and survival builds, from castles to automatic resource farms to automated storage to text messaging display screens.
Mathematics
I’ve loved math since I was a child and I have notebooks filled with my mathematical ideas. I maxed out my high school math classes and started college coursework at 15, taking advanced upper division university classes before I graduated. And there’s not much I love more than a good meme, math version.
Shenanigans
Various other escapades and things I love. LEGO, sports, computers, construction, friends, family, fun and mashed potatoes.
